I ordered and installed these. It took me about 40 hours with lots of breaks for call of duty. Upon installation and final wiring I found that these were pink and not red. Also I noticed that my order was for 8K, but was given 6K. The box is marked 8k but the HIDs are marked 6K. Will my halos ever turn red, or am I stuck with pink.

Sorry about the mix up with the bulbs, send me an email and ill be happy to send you a pair of 8000k bulbs for free.
the red halos looking light red/ pinkish is a limitation of the technology, that is how all red ccfl halos look like, from us or any other seller.
We custom order special painted ccfl halo rings which are painted in a transparent red color and they look real red, and are sold with our other kits.
Unfortunetly, those other kits do not fit the 650R headlight, and the projectors in the 650R headlight do not have removable halo rings, so i cant change them out to the better red colored one's like in the other kits.
I will be testing a new projector model in the next few days in the 650R headlight, which allows the halos to be swapped, so stay tuned, if it fits i will exchange your projectors for the new one's for free.
iMine was for a 2013 Ninja 650. This time it'll only take half as long to change everything out since I've got a better idea of what I'm doing. That's still a long time. I hope this all gets worked out after the money and time spent on a project like this.

Dont worry, i take care of all my customers and i want all my customers happy
Worst come to worst i can exchange them for a different color.
All the other colors are true, white is white, blue is blue, green is green.
Only red, is light red/pinkish but that is with all ccfl rings, no matter where you buy them.
Borka can you post a pic of the beam pattern against a wall
I snapped a quick picture with one projector sitting on the hood of my car.
These projectors are great, very bright with a good and even light spread and a clean cut off line. this is only one projector and its super bright, with 2 projectors on, the brightness is even more.
Excellent "How-to" and your customer service is top notch going on this thread alone.
I am really interested in getting this Halo + HID system for my ER6-n. I did a search and could only see the FZ8 response you gave in regards to naked bikes, is that the kit you would advise in getting if I wanted to fit them to my bike?

I am pretty certain the fz8 naked kit will fit the er6n, but i havent tested it myself, so i cant say with 100% certainty.
The projector will mount, but i am not sure how much room you have there, as the fz8 headlight is one big light with only 1 bulb, and er6n is devided into 2 lights, so i cant say for certain that the top portion will have enough room.
I do have a single projector kit with the same projectors that are used in the 650R, and this one will deff fit, the shroud on is smaller so it should fit no problem. the kit is $145 with a white halo for everything needed to install, projector hid bulb, 35w ballast, and relay/wire harness.
email me sales@bkmoto.com to order.
