As far as the sound , yeah ,I am tired of the bike sounding like a lawn mower so a little deeper sound would not hurt , I have yet to see anyone on the street with an exhaust on this bike so I have not been able to tell how it sounds in person.
I would be shocked if you got 7hp even with a full system and a power commander.
With a slip on you might see 2hp. The Two Brothers slipon, according to the Dyno charts on their website, nets 0.2hp and 0.1tq. Mind you Two Brothers sucks. A really nice slip on like a Leo or Akra might get you 3hp.
Exhausts don't get you the gains they used to 10 years ago.
Sadly they don't make slip ons for the 650s so it has to be a full exhaust.
I'll shop around , a two brothers aluminum is like 550 dollars plus shipping.
They do advertise 7 hp but it may not be to the wheels but to the crank.
Also power commander sounds cool but from what I've heard it completely destroys your fuel economy to 35 down from 50 , for a small gain in power ,since I use my bike as a daily transportation it would defeat the purpose, I wish they made a power commander with a flip switch to switch between race and street.
For that I just get a used SS for around 4k and race around in that lol I am just interested in better sound.

Yeah they do. If you want to you can use a previous gen header with a previous gen slipon.
As for the power commander it has nothing to do with fuel economy. You can get better or worse fuel economy depending on how you tune it. In fact in some throttle opening regimes you make the A/F ratio leaner than you do richer at any appreciable RPM. With a full system you will NEED a power commander.

Crap , no wonder a lot of people don't go full exhaust , do you have any idea how much one of those run?
I have a stand but it wasn't with me bc I did it at my dads house so I just did it on the ground, just took my time and it turned out great.
so i did it last night. its not perfect (off my a millimeter here and there) because i did it in low light, but i dont think anyone would be able to tell. only me, lol.. aint that the way it goes.
as for the plasti dip, im doing that right now at work. just putting a light coat on it every 10 minutes or so.

Akrapovic, Leo Vince, Arrow, TiForce, Arata. You're not going to find a quality exhaust that's cheap. It's either going to be beautiful and expensive, or crap and cheap. M4 for example. They're cheap, but they're fairly shitty all around.
