It's under warranty. When a bike is under warranty you shouldn't even think about fixing any problems or investigating it for yourself. Just take it in.

You might even totally void the warranty by tinkering with the issue yourself and then it's a bummer to explain to the dealer that your "intentions" were good when you started working on the issue .

Hot engines smell, especially on new bikes. Hot wet engines smell more. In damp conditions steam comes off the radiator and can look as if it's from the headlamp area. Condensation in that area can also steam off as the heat from the lights lifts it.
And all these things are before you lose mictrofibre cloths or get them stuck in the headers.
