TapeWorks reflective rim tape

ordered some of this last week. i love the sporty look of the tape itself, but i especially like the idea of reflective tape. itll help with visibility, especially at night. these things light up like no other.

here is a shot from this morning at work.

here are a few from last night after the install. sorry for the shitty quality, but you can pretty much see how reflective it can be. even with a flashlight we were extremely impressed at the brightness.

I went to tapeworks.com and found this ...

Welcome to the Tapeworks Kawasaki page.
Due to the current economic climate, Tapeworks has ended it's license with Kawasaki Motor Corporation, USA. We would like to thank Kawasaki licensing for allowing us to produce and sell quality licensed decals over the years, and when the conditions warrant, we hope to be able to re-establish that relationship.

i got that message before as well, but if you go to the rimstripes page, you should be able to order any color you want.

if you scroll down to reflective colors, mine is this one:

its a bit lighter but overall its a pretty close match, especially on the candy lime green (2012 650 for me) because in the light, the candy lime green almost has a yellowish pearl in it.

i would say if youre looking for the reflective feature, there is only one red - and it looks like a pretty close match to the passion red. if you look at this page, it seems someone got some samples of the different reds.

Austin Bell's ZX-7R with Tapeworks Rimstripes

maybe consider writing to them to see if you could do the same?

there is also a reflective black. be sure to check that out.

Looks cool. I wonder if the "Burnt Orange" on their site will match my 2011 Candy Burnt Orange 650R?

it would probably be a similar situation to mine. not an exact match to the darker color in the paint, but a match to the highlight your paint has. something like this:
