So I had my 2012 ninja 650 stolen last week. I know they're a dime a dozen but I implore you to keep your eyes peeled. It was black with all the stock stickers removed. Removed the rear fender and tinted both the rear and front turn signals. Also applied red, reflective rim tape. If you see anything like it, please contact your local authorities. This was in the KC area, a fairly nice area at that unfortunately. Help my baby come home!
wow man that sucks, seems like just last week we were talking about the R&G tail tidy.. might i ask the circumstances in which it was stolen? overnight? outside? just curious because im trying to do my best to avoid any theft situations and if i can do something differently to help prevent it, i want to.
Sorry about that bro.
Someone tried to steal mine by rolling it out of my garage. The garage door was opened. But thanks to the screaming noise of the bike alarm, they just ran away and I still have her.

That sucks, man.
As for insurance, I doubt he has it or he wouldn't want the bike back. I know I probably wouldn't want mine back after it was stolen. Just pay me and I'll replace it.
It's a nasty feeling, isn't it? As if you've been violated. Same thing happened to my CBR last week. I never got a call back from LAPD, so I'm sure she's in pieces right now or being auctioned off in some far away place. If you have comprehensive, you'll be covered for the value of the bike minus deductible, though they'll take their sweet time and they'll make you fill out and notarize forms.
Overland Park. Nice place. I went there 13 years ago for a VICA competition. It's a good place for a yuppie crowd, but I bet the burglary rate is high because of it.

I doubt it... most people finance new bikes... you have to get full coverage when you finance
Plus if he paid cash... whatever its not important. I'm more surprised people are stealing our bikes. They are black sheep, the parts dont transfer over to anything. Fucking sucks

Depends on how you finance. It's easy to get an unsecured loan if your credit is good enough.
