Default 2012 tires
Guys I need help. I got this bike around Mother's Day of this year and since then I have put 10,250 miles on the bike. I still have the stock tires on the bike. The rear is starting to go flat in the middle of tire. The front looks ok. My question is how do you know when it time to buy a new set? Also what type of tires should I look at? I normally use my bike for communing. Thanks

A set of Pilot Road 2s will last you for commuting.

There are wear indicators in the tread of the tire. When the tire reaches the wear mark, replace it. They can severely cup before that though if not properly inflated, so overall tire wear should be looked at.

Tire talk in here.
I am stupid confused on finding tires...

There's a general consensus on certain tires, makes it hard to know about a lot of different options since it's not one of those things to try some different on.
Pilot Road 2s
Pirelli Angels set some distance/wear record
Continental I have seen many post they like for touring
I run Shinko Verge 011, Only one season through them so I can't tell how many miles I have left on them.
The dual compounds are nice since you get the nicer "sticker" rubber on the edges so you can have confidence if you get spirited. The single compounds are not bad from my experience and readings, just need to find the right ones.

Wow! 10K+ miles is great wear on your tires. I would go ahead and get new tires. You'll feel a huge difference!!

I only see 5k on rear and about 7500 on front so those stockers sound pretty good
