can anyone help? i have a 2009 650r i am going to put on my woodcraft frame sliders but i want to find the torque specs for the engine bolts before i start. i think it may be 18flbs or 32flbs. thanks much appreciated...
According to the service manual for my 2007, it is 32 ft-lb / 44 N-m for the Front Engine Mounting Bolts. Also, shows 18 ft-lb / 25 N-m for the Engine Mounting Bracket bolts. So you will need to figure out which bolts the slider is utilizing.
thanks those were the same numbers i came up with too. that confirms what i thought but i wanted to make sure i was reading the diagrams correctly. these sliders look like they may use both, i should be able to figure out which one is which once i get her taken apart
Yeah, when I did my sliders(LSL), I had to remove both the main engine bolt and the bracket bolts as well. Good luck. And remember, always measure twice before cutting!
