Stuck and rusted spark plug coils!

Yo all,

I am trying to change my spark plugs - I don't think they've been changed from new ( 30k, 2009 model) and the coils that sit in o the cylinder head are most definitely rusted in.

Similar to this thread: http://www.kawiforums.com/ninja-650r-er6/214177-coil-packs-stuck.html

I have tried letting WD40 soak in, I've used angled pliers, wrapped the heads of the coils in cloth (like using a tea-towel to open a stiff jamjar) and no end of cleaning/scrubbing the lid of the coil to try and get some lubricant insied them.

I'm totally stumped now as they are truly pried in there.

A few questions: should the engine be hot or cold when doing this? Any tips for loosening/lubricating the coils to ease them out? I don't beleive they twist like a screwn, but should be plug out either upwards or left to ride and upwards motion, is this correct? Any tools I should try?

And finally, any recommended replacement coils, prefereably non-waka as they are circa £100 each!!

I feel like this is going to turn into some expensive routine maintenance...
Thanks in advance :|

The first time I took them out of my 2007 I just gently levered them out with a long screwdriver. I put the flat of it against the head and then put the shaft under the electrical clip part and gently lifted the handle, while pulling on the coil with my other hand. It was tough, but I went slow and was gentle and they came out okay.

There's nothing on them that'll rust in place though.
