Broken stator 12" ninja 650

Hey does anyone know if a stator from a 09 to 11 650/er6n will work in a 2012 650. I broke my stator cover and stator and from the looks of it it looks pretty much the same. Don't wanna pay 175 for factory stator. Anyone have anything let me know

Check (((Kawasaki Parts))) to see if the Part number is the same in each of the bikes , if so I would think you are good to go.

I checked and part numbers are different but looking at pictures(multiple pictures) they look exactly the same in size and all

The rotor is the same part number. As long as the placement is the same inside the stator housing and the plug is the same, I would think it would work. Double check your regulator, because a stator problem can point to a regulator problem. If you find your regulator defective switching to a mosfet type regulator helps alot. The regulator runs cooler and is more reliable and provides a more consistent voltage. Eastern Beaver has some great kits for this.

No I dropped my bike and the stator cover took some copper wife's off of it. I bought one and it came with new plugs so I got that fixed. Thanks for your input sharper!
