2007 Ninja 650R Handlebar question

I was looking to get a new handlebar for my 2007 Ninja 650R, however I am not sure what my options are. I was looking at getting clip-ons, but I was not if they would be compatible with my bike. Any help would be appreciated.

You have a ton of options for bars. Renthal and Rizoma make some good "Ultra low" bars that are light weight as well. Realistically you can pretty much use just about any 7/8 inch bar on the bike.

Hi itsjasko, there is a thread about handlebars like two posts below yours and other threads posted earlier, you can find them through the "search" option, a lot of information for you there

Hey itsjasko. I was curious to hear what you came up with for handlebars. I just bought an 06 650r and really need to get rid of the stock bars. I am 6'1" and have long arms....it is extremely uncomfortable. I have to ride with my arms bent at a 90 degree angle. I want to lower my riding position but also extend the reach to straighten out my arms. Plz let me know what you find. Thx.

Hi and welcome, you can find relevant information in this thread:

Opinions: Sport Bars from Ninja 650 shop vs. Woodcraft Clip-on Risers

I am roughly the same height with you and the LSL bars really made a difference for me.

As I wrote above, the thread I mentioned is on the same page and a few lines below this one and there are other threads too with different handlebars and good info that you can find by using the "search this forum" function in the upper right corner.

GR rider, thank you. I did just check out the LSL sportbike bars. They are definitely a lot more in line with what I am looking for, and look much more comfortable. However, I do not like the look of one solid handlebar on the bike. I was looking for something more in mind like the super sports with two individual handles coming off of front forks. I did go ahead and look at the sports bars as well. They look really nice minus the Hefty price tag and the fact that there is no adjustability in terms of degrees forward or back to customize the fit to the individual Rider. So, to sum it up I definitely want to sit in a much lower writing position but I also want to be able to get my arms almost at full extension rather than keeping them bent and a 90 degree angle which is uncomfortable and looks ridiculous. Maybe I am asking too much and what I am looking to accomplish is impossible with a 650r and a rider my size. I'll keep looking around but if you know of anything else I would greatly appreciate it. Thank you.
