When I felt that back tire come up, it definitely scared me. It gets loose there all the time. Hardest braking zone on the track, down-shifting, but that's definitely the first time I completely got the back tire off the ground...haha

Well here's a little summary of my 2 day track extravaganza. As usual, people there were super cool and good lord, level 1 was packed! 45 people on the track at one time, so passing them was a bit tough at times. At the end of the day, the instructors were happy with my progress and let me run with the level 2 guys. I was pretty excited that I was already moving up to level 2.

Signed up for another day and started out as lvl 2 this time. Once again, the weather turned out spectacular and had another great day out there. Had the instructors critique me again to check on how my lines/body positioning were. Overall, really happy with my progress and they don't see me staying for very long in lvl 2 before I advance again. Not bad for my third track day and about a year of riding. I still need to work on a few things, mainly that keyhole concrete patch messing with my head, and still tweaking some things with my body positioning. Had a blast once again and can't wait till the season starts up again. I can already feel my wallet getting lighter...

In the meantime, enjoy some pics.

And then the aftermath. Hooray for actually using nearly all of my tire. I hate Houston sometimes; nothing but straight lines.

Good stuff Timm. Especially on those tires.

It was my first trackday at MSR-H and I rode Saturday L3. I've done most the other tracks except this one. I probably should have at least done the round robin with L2 cuz I looked like a frikkin N00B my first session out. It took a few session to iron out and get my bike right. I didn't have a lap timer but a guy said he was timing me and I was running around 1:42's towards the end of the dau . I plan on doing the CMRA race there next year. Should be fun!

1:42's is no joke! Especially for your first time there.

I wouldn't doubt if you dipped down in the 38s if the weather is good for the race in February.

Road tires for the win . Damn, I'm not too far behind you on lap times. I'm.... about 25 seconds slower than you hahaha. Quick runs there Jerry.

I hope I can get under 40. There are plenty of areas I could use some serious work. Especially the launch and the bus stop . That first turn and diamonds edge (i think) are sketchy as F. You can't really see where the curbing is! I went into those crevasses a few times and don't remember the last I felt my butt cheeks clinch together so tightly.

That more than likely is diamond's edge you're talking about. It is freakin hard to tell where the curbing is on that one, and the concrete patch screws with my head. The carousel is a bit tough to spot the inside curbing as well after the apex where you start moving out.

Nothing like that and a little headshake at higher speeds from the uneven surfaces to get your butt puckering a bit.

i think that's realistic. cody's an optimist - i'm UNDOUBTEDLY a pessimist, so prove me wrong. i do love being surprised. prolly won't beat dave though in novice. he owns that track and will prolly get bumped to expert mid season.

Yea, I corrected the title and put an edit in the caption, but the video itself was already made

I dropped from a 56 to a 53 in my race at TWS and I have been there A LOT. I don't see 4 seconds as unreasonable after another day of experience and in a race environment.
