Default Does anyone race in a 250 class???
If I remeber correctly, there used to be a handful of members here that did trackdays with their 250's, but does anyone actually compete with them?
If so, I'm curious how the introduction of the 300 will affect these classes if at all. Most of the information I've gathered indicates that there are strict restrictions on modifications allowed to the 250(must have stock airbox, no port and polish, etc. Pretty much stock bike with race bodywork or taped headlight and a bellypan). Will the 300 be allowed to race in the 250 circuits? Will the restrictions become more relaxed as far as modifications to the 250 go?
Like I said, just curious and interested in others thoughts, opinions, insights...

I also have a 300 that I plan to race in the other classes that the 250 was legal for that are less restrictive as far as modification. I don't think the 300 will affect the 250 class at all.

The 20+ 250 racers at Chuckwalla had a shit fit when the 300 came out. Right now CVMA allows the 300 to race in the ultra light weight shoot out but does not award them points for it. So far, only 1 300 has shown up for the race and crashed out. If the grid grows with 300's the will evaluate what to do with the class. They are not allowed in the 250 super stock class.

OMRRA revised the rules in Ultra Light Weight Superbike to keep the 300 (and basically anything not a Ninja 250) out. The 300 will not be legal in the 250 cup either. In the process of banning the 300 they also banned my VTR250 hybrid, and another competitors SR500 project he almost had complete.
