For Sale: Large ICON Variant Etched Helmet $320 OBO, shipped. I've worn this helmet about 4 times where I discovered that I should have bought a medium. Comes with dark smoked shield. honestly, its not bad up to about 80 mph... you can start to notice it around there. There is a little bit of drag, but nothing unbearable... it is noticeable most when caught in wind wash from large vehicles.


It is also most noticeable when turning you head at anything above 60 mph. I've ridden with it about 100 miles mostly freeway and it has been fine, also really depends on the motorcycle and your height. On my 650 wind comes off my from screen directly into my face, so there is a bit more wind turbulence. I rode my friends GSXR with the helmet once and there was less turbulence coming off his front screen.

The two best things about this helmet are the field of vision and the styling. The shield is huge and open like a fighter jet pilot's. The field of vision is amazing. Secondly, the styling... everyone looks! I know I am more noticeable on the road with this helmet... I've had people look at me in their car mirror and immediately switch lanes or halt a bad lane change.

I intend to buy another one, just in the right size this time

Dammit. Well I've found medium in Scorpion, HJC, KBC, and Shoei to fit just right. The Scorpion fit the tightest when I first got it, but that's because it has more padding than the others, but over time it now feels great. Still tight, but not uncomfortable. Perfect fit. I won't even wear my HJC anymore.

The etched Icon here is really nice, but the red won't go with either of my bikes.
