yup.... not sure if the rules are the same up there, but here, if you cant ride at night, on the freeway, or with a passenger, so if you get stopped for one of those reasons, then yes you can get your bike impounded

I got my motorcycle license in Jersey in 63. Back then you couldn't ride with anyone on a permit, might have changed since then.

I'm not sure what happens there but I got pulled over once with just my permit going 120 at 3 am on the interstate.
Got away with taking a two day driving class to negate the points and about 80 bucks after they cut the fines in half or whatever.
I was told I could have been taken to jail and what not, but I guess I just really got lucky. In all honesty I just wanted to get home. I guess he was so lenient with me because I was hadn't been drinking and what not.

In PA you get a 38 ticket for riding at night with just your permit... Thats it, and you have to let your bike sit there. No points

Man you got off easy uwisuwerme7

you can say goodbye to your bike and possibly suspension of your license.

It varies from state to state, but even if you get caught out at night, you might get away with the old "I lost track of the time and I'm on my way home now" ploy... IF you're headed in the right direction and the cop's feeling generous.

Not worth the risk though, in my opinion.

Ride safe.
