Default Coolant Fluid for a Vulcan 500

What kind of coolant fluid should I use on my 1997 Vulcan 500.
The dealer said that ANY 50/50 that is aluminium safe should work, but I wanted to hear from those of you that have done it before.
The engine for the Vulcan 500 is the same as the Ninja 500, so Ninja riders, your input is very valuable.

ya. any coolant is good, but deionized/distilled water is best for aluminum as it oxidizes way less.
theres "special" shit out ther supposedly for al. applications, but imho, any 50/50 mix from a company that makes the stuff is good.

if you were to mix your own, thats when the deionized/distilled comes in.

welcome to KF

Thanks, that's what I was thinking.
I am going to buy some stuff from WalMart, and change my coolant this weekend.
