I am looking to add a little more bite to my bike and wanted to know what exhaust system and tuning is best for a 2000 ZX12. I know power commander is out there and is this it for the bike? I have thought about going with a full exhaust system and want to know if it is really worth it or do a slip or and tune is best bang for buck. The previous owner put a K/N on there and runs a Two Brothers pipes that is shortened. The bike is very choppy between 6000-7000 rpm and would like to smooth it out.

PCIII or bettwe will definitely smooth it out.
the bike is a fucking MONSTER in general. not much needed to make alot of power. i can get ya hooked up with guys who stroke to 1427 with offset blocks and make 240hp NA and run over 212mph in the standing mile if you wanna go fucking nuts.

or i can fab a turbo kit up for ya! lol

but a filter, pipe and pwr cmdr will suit the bike NICELY and smooth out the choppyness by being able to trim that rpm range's fuel delivery.

getting a tune is always worth it.

i hate slip-ons as its the honda ricer equivalent to a cat-back. they're just for noise.. you get nothing from it.

full exhaust FTW. tune on top of that? hot fuckin sex homey.

i know guys running mild 1287 kits, guys running 60hp dry shots on stock internals ( and we ran 229.612 last time until NO2 ran out) and big bore/ stroked offset setups.. lots of stuff for the 12 out there.

its still a backburner dream of mine to twin-turbo one.

Wow....lots of great ideas here. I may do the power commander first with a full race system to tune on. Any recommendations?? I am thinking muzzy but a lot of guys want me to do an Akro system. A stroker kit would be nice down the line..bike only has 10,000 miles so it will probably go a long time before I need a new motor.
