Default BMW S1000RR Custom tune

my buddy just got back from Englands speed shop in modesto ca and they custom tuned it with the akro exhaust he just put on it, and it freakin put down 215 WHP at 12,500 rpms and 89 lbs of torque! WTF i thought they were around 180 whp, but 215!?!?! then i google it and they all put about 210 and 215 with a tune.
thats 100 more than my 636... FML

they must price them alot different in your area. i saw one here & one in PA. both places wanted 18K, stock . not sure if they were "base" models tho, didn't ask. it's a beautiful bike IMO, but not as comfortable as the 14 because it's a SS, where the 14 is a ST. the 14 will easily put down the same #'s with some minor mods, but i think the BMW is much lighter.

as far as msrp is concerned.....you can get the 14(or any jap bike for that matter) WELL under the msrp, whereas the BMW will get sticker!
