I went to look at mine and had never ridden a street bike. The guy selling it said if I wanted it I would have to test ride it. Needless to say I rode it down his street and back ---- I came back cheesing.
Came back the very next day and rode the beast back(40miles). Right when I hit the main rode I had people commenting on the sweet bike and then I hit the highway for 30 miles.
Like I say to anyone that asks me about getting a bike and exactly how I felt when I got it ---It was everything I ever wanted in any car, or motor vehicle all in one package.

Ride em home that's half the fun, unless it has zero miles. Then trailer it home and break it in your way.

My dad rode my 900RR home.

I didn't ride my ZX6R home because it's winter.

Still haven't ridden it.

I've ridden every bike I've purchased home. I LOVE that ride!

Stuffed my 01 F4i into the back of my parent's pickup and drove it home 150mi.

Picked up the 09 ZX6R brand new and rode a wheelie infront of the dealership as I was leaving.

I rode home a 06 SV650N for a chick friend on brand new Pilot Road 2CTs. It was one of the worst monsoons I'd ever seen but I still topped the thing out on the 40mi ride home. Raining sideways.

Road my first three bikes home... Two were brand new from the dealer. I remember my 1st though, no insurance or registration, gear or helmet and went by a motorcycle accedent. That was a little nerve wracking.

I trailered my newest bike though, then beat on it when i got to my shop lol. I figure I'm gonna ride it any way.

The first ride on your new bike is fun and all but safety first. For my first bike I figured it was more important to get the bike back home first before having fun on it, so my friend who was a more experienced rider rode it back for me.
