Default COP WHAT COP ? ...Pull Over or Keep Going?

.

Watching the news the other night, they had a report about a high speed chase. Cops trying to catch a motorcyclist. Ended like most... with the guy crashing.

So the question is if you were out on a nice summer day on some long back roads with no traffic and you open it up to the point to where you are doing say 100 + mph (Not that you ever would... but, if you were..) And you catch out of the corner of you eye a cop hiding out. Next thing, you look in your mirror and see the lights. Now Your thinking I'm screwed. I'm going to jail if I get pulled.

But you are familiar with the roads up ahead.
So do you STOP and lose your license or do you RUN ???

All this is Hypothetical of course, because we don't ever speed.

But IF this happened, what would you do.. ?

Around here if the bike exceeds 95 or something like that, the bike goes into a residential area, and/or the bike blows a red light, the cop is required to back off.

if i know the roads, and there are many areas to pull off to another one, many bikes on the road, and he didn't catch a close look of me, the bike or the plates. I'd "cruise" a bit faster and get my ass out of there.

if there is even a slightest chance he caught a glimpse of my plate, or there aren't too many turn off areas ahead, I'd just pull over and take the hit. Most popo would cut you some slack if you're not a douche.

this is all theoretically of course. i ride 5 under at all times..

If the cops smart he would not even waste his time and pull out from where he is hiding because realistically speaking by the time he put's his car in D you'll be gone.

Well I've already been to jail for reckless driving on my bike (72 in a 55 but the cop claimed 95 and the judge bought it--no radar either). Anyways I think I'd gun it depending how far of a head start I have. Hate to say it, but I've seen the results of and been a victim of doing the right thing, so fuck that pig I hope he takes the turn too fast in pursuit and slides off the road.

I was taught in driver's ed that those flashing lights are just a suggestion to pull over. Just like you don't have to actually stop at a stop sign if it has a white rim on the sign.

This is something that I had a dream of the other night , of course I would never do such thing because I respect the law 100%

I dreamt I was going 110 mph south bound on the turnpike to test the bike after getting it back from the dealer , as I am cruising down I see a state trooper going to opposite direction and on the mirror I saw the brake lights and emergency lights come on , funny that even in my dream I knew that the cop had to drive down about half a mile to find a turn around so I gunned it (in my dream) to about 135 mph which is all the little 650 can do , I got off the next exit that said 30 mph at 80 , cut through the gheto and into my house , pulled the bike on the back patio and ran inside the house to hear the blades of a helicopter in the area were i first got off the expressway which was about 2 miles east , I woke up and actually heard a chopper go over the my house , it was exiting and all but I would never do such thing , people that run are stupid.

bye bye.

Cops here will also back off in residential areas since about a year or two ago, some cops chasing a motorcyclist in a residential area failed and crashed right into the front of a house. Although of course it would REALLY depend on the situation, and I think I would have to be in it to see my "fight or flight" type reaction.

I got a reckless this year in VA. I don't think I will stop ever again. What if the cop was on your side off road facing your direction but stopped would you still run if you were on the highway?
