Many people.
Trust me, in novice no one tops their 600 or 1000 out on the straights. They're usually too scared to do more than 115mph. Last track day I rode a session in novice to get a buddy on camera. The back straight in this video between T2 and T3(there are kinks in it) is <100mph for these guys. I hit 150 pretty easily running at an intermediate pace and more like 160 at an advance pace. You'll be more than fine on a 250
Just did my first trackday and you will be fine on a 250. They will put you in novice and we noobs are still to nervous and stiff to go real fast. You will catch a lot of people if.you just stay smooth and relaxed and don't break a mile and half before the turn. Only irritating thing with novice was getting stuck behind a liter bike who pins it for the strait and then breaks super early and since you can't pass in corners in novice you just have to hot pit real quick and then go back bout.

alright, but is it legal to take a stock two fiddy on a track? dont you need to have wired bolts and such??
Yes, you can take a stock 250 on a track day. You don't have to have anything wired for most track days. For racing, you will need to wire things.
