I have been told that there is available out there a receiver mx bike carrier that will accept a ball type receiver hitch to tow my boat at the same time. I can't find one anywhere?
If I can't find anything already produced, I am thinking of an 18" reciever extension and building a carrier on that. That way I could still place a 2" ball at the end of it and tow my boat. Shuttles here are anywhere from 30.00 to 50.00 bucks. Thats alot of BEER!

you may have to up the actual receiver class since when you come out from the hitch itself you're exponentially increasing the vertical load on the assembly, even with the same weight involved ( being the boat.. just hitching on almost 3 feet later) theres gonna be a point to where the leverage generated will sheer something off.. if you can get a pic of the whole shebang and post it, maybe i can engineer around that with minimal material and pain-in-the-assness. something like a clamp-on rack that'll be added so the boat tongue, depending on clearance. there may need to be an offset depending on how far up the bow is on the trailer.

It was actually suggested to place a receiver on the front of the truck and place the bike there when towing the boat. I then could place the bike mount on the back when not towing the boat. That actually sounds a little safer but I am not so sure about a bug splattered bike though.........
