why not, really has nothing to do with the track. its for youre own protection.

if you want it or like it and money isnt an issue i'd get it.

Who gives a fuck? You look like hot shit.

This just about sums it up:

"Riding gear is a full suit of armor that is socially acceptable to wear in public. You walk into a Starbucks wearing your period authentic replica half-plate, and at best you're going to get some impolite stares; at worst, you're going to get a news piece with the headline "Police Fell Local Knight With Bear Mace, Mocking Laughter."

But you walk in there in motorcycle gear and, depending on how much the other customers want to piss off their father, you're either a responsible commuter or a naughty rebellion just waiting for a sexy coup."

Why are people so worked up on what others think? Do what you want to do and screw what anyone else thinks.

On topic, I ride in a one piece 98% of the time regardless of the type of riding I do that day. I've been down and jeans offer little protection, I don't want more scars from road rash.

+1 Fucking CA self-conscious fools. Get over the fact that you can't "look cool" to everyone all the time. Be concerned for your safety above all else.

I wear a 1piece more often than not. I buy groceries and run errands in a 1piece. I don't care what I look like to people who don't see me on the road yet will give me a funny look in Target now that I "don't fit in" with what other Affliction T-shirt wearing douchebags look like. I care about being protected when I go down.

I don't know man. I have my one piece for the track and even with Psycleskins on underneath it, once you start sweating it's a bitch getting out of that thing. I couldn't imagine wearing one around on the street. If you can pop in and out of it with no problem, it's too big or you're built like a 12 yr. old girl.

I rocked one piece suits on the streets. IDGAF what on lookers say, it offers me the best protection and free natural movement of great gear while on a bike that can be afforded. Fuck the idiots who say 'aren't you hot in all that'. Sweat washes off, skin grafts don't. That tends to shut them the fuck up quickly. One piece for streets and then you're set for the track. Fuck what the others say. if you're that concerned about what others say about you and your riding gear then wear flip flops then and don't bitch about the road rash or having it be a pita to peel yourself out of a sweaty one piece suit.

Ive only been to a 1/2 track day (Evening test and tune so 4 hours with no instruction).

I had a 2 piece as my first suit and and never made it to the track. Sold that and bought a 1 piece because i wanted the extra bit of protection in addition to NOT CARING what other people thought.

Any ride other then an A to B commute the suit gets put on.

i bought the suit!...
...here is a new one...

Dainese Laguna Seca Pro Leather Suit Black/Magnesium from SportbikeTrackGear.com

i can not stand up all the way (kind of like a cave man) or my balls get squashed...but the riding position is very comfortable...rode back 40 miles on the freeway with the suit on and felt like rossi...lol...

looks like i will be using this exclusively for twisties and canyons if i do not want to be stared at...

I have a one piece suit I bought for my track day last year. This year I just never made it to the track; hopefully next year will be different. I haven't worn the suit since my track day since I don't go pleasure riding on the street. I believe it's unwise to go speeding through twisties, both as far as safety and cops go. There are no cops on the track, so that's where I'll play.

I normally wear a 1piece to commute on 65 miles of freeway each way. No twisties at all, just better protection.
