Think you have been watching too much msnbc bro. You think middle class tax breaks have eliminated middle class taxes... you must be on some good sh!t man...

Over 20% of my bi-weekly paycheck goes to the gov, I pay my way through life and live reasonably...

I'm fed up with this BS that it's ok for people to go through life doing nothing. The system is rigged, and everyone not on the inside is losing, big time.

I will say that it's better here than a lot of places. We pay lesser taxes than most countries. But why do people want to raise taxes instead of cutting the BS that drags us down in the first place.

The wasteful spending of our gov is incredible.

You don't like it, you can always opt out and go live somewhere like Zimbabwe or Greece where taxes are "optional". There is no "option" with theft, someone wants your shit, they take it w/o your permission, and unless you can see the future/read minds there's nothing you can do about it.

You claim to love your country but you have a problem with fulfilling your fundamental obligation to it Taxes are the cost of services and opportunity a country provides, why shouldn't one pay them?

Being homeless is not just being out walking around , you are also invisible to the law and homeless often get beaten and raped by other homeless , I have seen it first hand, these people will turn to stealing and stuff until they can get a nice warm bed in the penitentiary on our dime.

Giving people housing and keeping them away from crime is more effective than having them dirt poor on the streets , also a homeless is statisticly a lot less likely to come back on float than a person that has a house and clothing and can get a job should he decide to.

As a country we need a welfare system, because some people honestly need it to survive.

But what pisses me off is is seeing them buy porterhouse steaks and crabs and lobsters with foodstamps. If you NEED welfare you should have to buy the no-name brands and nothing luxurious. Then whip out their new iPhone 5 and a wad of cash to buy cigarettes....

Our welfare system needs to be regulated better.
All of this^^^

It's not like all people on welfare aren't trying. Some people are born into and need help escaping, others are on rough times, and of course some people abuse the system but that's with anything. You can't knock the people who are trying just because there is a smaller group who isn't.

No, I dont even have cable, "bro"

I'm flowing from the survival scrolls....

Historical Average Federal Tax Rates for All Households

Can you read charts? Look at tax rates for the bottom 4 quintiles, tell me what trends you see. Tell me what the latest numbers are. Middle class taxes are at their lowest point ever. That's not rhetoric, that's reality. So stop with these racist lies about the govt giving people money "for 24 inch rims". The govt has given way more $$$$ to the middle class over the last couple of years than any other group. It's you who needs to stop listening to whoever you've been listening to, cause they've been lying to you.

And your taxes might be "high", but if you had kids, a wife, and a house, you would get all that money back come tax return time. Thats the avg American household and that is why the avg household's effective federal tax rate was 1.3 (compared to a 10% marginal rate) and dropping. So your situation is hardly representative of the norm.

So you are saying if I had wife, kids, and house, I wouldn't pay any taxes... BS.

I'll have a wife in 6 months but the other 2 things will come later

We have the same arguments over welfare, and it's always the very small minority of outright scroungers that make the headlines.

In reality the bulk of the 'Welfare' bill here is in pensions (to people who've contributed all their lives to the retirement pension) and in credits to people working full time - or at least as many hours as they can get in the current climate - for pay checks that aren't enough to live on at even a basic level.

The biggest problem here is that under EU law anybody from any EU country can come into the UK, and unlike other EU countries we don't insist on them working and paying taxes for a minimum period of time - usually 6 months - before they become eligible to claim benefits.

In any country, under any system, there will always be a tiny minority who live on benefits and never work. The only real answer for those people is to shoot them. In the meantime, the cost of supporting them is a tiny fraction of the overall 'welfare' bill.

Rob

I put the numbers up for you to read, you ignored them because they weren't convenient to your POV. And yes, if you are an avg American household (husband, wife, 2ish kids, house, median income) your federal income tax bill, which pays for black people's 24" rims, would be close to or below zero. The federal taxes you would pay- Medicare & Social Security taxes- would not go to black people's 24" rims

And of the little federal taxes you do pay, very little of it goes to the programs keeping you up at night. So please cease and desist with these lies, you don't know what you're talking about.
