My rear tire seems to have a slow leak. Every week I have to put more air in it. I put 36psi of air in it last weekend and yesterday it was down to 13psi.
What is the typical solution for a motorcycle tire with a slow leak? I looked and didn't see any nails or anything in the tire, so I'm assuming it's either a leaking valve stem or bead.
Is using Fix a Flat an acceptable solution, without having to take it to a tire shop?
I would use some soapy water to try to find the leak. Then take the wheel off and get it fixed. It could even be that the core is loose in the valve stem.

as suggested by randy218 use a little soapy water, check the valve stem... sometimes they will leak,
if you find a small puncture on the riding surface of the tire and your tire is new, you could use a mushroom style plug, but you would still have to remove the tire. if the tire is older, just purchase a new set of tires and be safe. The leak will only get worse, you dont want to be left stranded or ...
some people have used the standard slime plug (below), but they are not recommended for higher speeds (80mph+)..I dont recommend them either, "tires are your life"
Valve cap. Often times the valve stems leak and that little plastic cap is all that is needed to stop it.
Good luck!
