My Kawasaki gear indicator

Hi all,

I thought it would be interesting to show you the project I worked on in the last months. It started as a gear indicator for myself but then some people showed interest so I made a couple modules.

The module is a plug and play gear indicator for kawasaki bikes. It communicate with the ecu to know which gear is engaged. Like the gipro's the clutch need to be release to have the good reading because the ecu calculate the current gear with the engine rpm and speed. For the installation, the only thing to do is plug the module connector in the bike diagnostic connector.

I implemented a "manual mode" which learn by itself the gear ratios for those who change sprocket or tire size.

Couple pictures / videos :

First started with test on prototype board :

Then, made a first pcb for development :

To end up with a final board :

And the module packaged / sealed :

And finally, a video to show the implemented functions :

Let me know what you guys think !!

This reply is for @dk1six as I can't send private message yet...

Thanks for your interest, yes I am selling these but sadly I didn't had any chance to test it on a zx10r of your gen yet to confirm everything is compatible :/ . As I'm in Canada I don't want to take the chance to ship you something that might not work. I will try to find a buddy with a zx10 around me to test it out and if everything works, I will get back to you !

Thanks a lot.
