I dropped a post the other week to say we had bought another bike - not as a replacement for the Z1000 SX (as if I would), but here's some words and pics on the new bike and the first few weeks of ownership
Many hate on cruisers- they are designed for short people, difficult to raise your butt for a big bump, often terrible suspension and brakes for their lower price, more for looks than speed, not good for a track day, too much like a 1984 Harley Softail, and on and on.
I like them for shorter trips at 60 mph, on a small budget, especially the lighter ones like your 650 that can corner and brake well at reasonable street speeds.
I found this video review below for the 650 Vulcan cruiser- really plenty of bike for most riders on the street, with a top speed over 115 mph. Obviously not the best for track days or for riding 800 miles a day:
