Project "Budget" Cafe Racer

'72 HonDuh CL350

Ugly as sin

Why am I wasting my time with this POS?

Uh oh...it's starting to look cool.

I'm feeling the homemade clubman bar

CL350 $0
Front tire/tube $50
Front brake cable $12
Handlebar grips $6
Battery $12
Misc. parts $0
Grand total $80

The bike only has 13,000 miles on it, and has been parked since '84. A little monkeying with it and it fired right up and it didn't even smoke.

Why? I want a put-put bike for around town, and I like the old school cafe racer style. That's the OG version of our bikes.

What is my vision? Solo seat, hopefully my buddy will make me one out of Al, if not I can buy a fiberglass one for a few $'s. We are going to look for a cool stock tank, maybe a CB400, or whatever we can find. Custom rearsets, 2-into-1 exhaust, fresh paint, a round barend mirror like what nissontek put on his Duc, and a front disc brake conversion.

Why all this for a POS w/ only 36 hp's? Cause I give no fucks, it makes no sense. That's why I'm doing it. It will be a cool lil bike when I'm done. I like old shit btw, now that i think about it both my cages are early 70's circa as well. I still got my 7 if I want to haul ass.

I know tht pics suck, I'll take some more tommorrow, after I change the front tire i'll take it for a spin. It's hard to tell in the pics but the handle bar is a CB350 bar cut up and rewelded, I really like how that turned out.

PS-Yes those are flames on the tank[^]

Keep the seat though.. something about a ripped up seat gets the ladies I heard... And get an old school leather jacket and take up smoking to complete the James Dean look!
