New to forum and to riding

Hi all! happy to find this community! I'm a new rider of only 3 months. I have already taken the MSF course and passed with flying colors! I'm endorsed and love riding already. I have A 2014 Ebony Ninja 300 ABS. My starter bike. I do plan to trade up after a season or two. I've taken long road trips and am comfortable with only back roads thus far. I'm about to venture out to the freeway very soon. The Limit on our freeways are 70 but people seem to drive 85 + around here. I've gotten up to 70 MPH many times and feel very comfortable with that. I also feel fairly comfortable with how I and the bike reacts to wind. I'm just alittle nervous about how the bike and I will react to large trucks passing, overpasses etc... But i'm sure I will soon find out and will adjust accordingly and love it like I love the back roads.

Hi Venus,
Welcome to the Forum. I definitely prefer the back roads and the extra turns they give me. The freeway can be a little stressful for me, even after riding for 15 years. When the semi's come along the wind usually is a pain for me to deal with. so when I see them in in my rear view I stay ahead of them or if I'm coming up on them, If there is a lane b/w the semi and I I'll get over and get by really fast. I just can't stand dealing with the wind from them.

Copied from intro thread. Are there any current female forumers active here?

Hello everyone, I'm SB. Newcomer to your corner of the Internet. I arrived here via a Google search, found exactly the procedure I needed.

About me:
32, female, new rider. I'm on active duty, recently stationed overseas. I bought the bike with the purpose of bringing it with me overseas. Riding in this new place will prove interesting, that's for sure.*

My bike: 2015 Kawasaki Vulcan S, white. Aka "Lady Boner" Bought it in June.
Recommended to me by my close friend of 15 years, who has been riding all sorts of things for at least that long. He's been my long distance mentor, I didn't find many riding mentors in my local area before I left the states.*

Now in a new place, with beautiful scenery but extremely windy weather, narrow winding cobblestone roads, crazy other drivers, and a language barrier. I've seen other riders here and there, mostly mopeds and other strange semi-enclosed bikes. I once saw what looked like a group of cruisers, but only caught a glimpse. I will be considered the riding expert among the Americans here, as so far, I think I'm the only current one with a bike here.*

So, I come here, humbly, seeking mentorship and community online where I think locally I will have none this year. Thanks for having me, looking foward to asking my noob questions.

anyhoo... I thought it would be nice to have a thread just to tell everyone else who you are, what you ride, why you ride and/or anything else you want to talk about!!!
Girl here. I ride a Harley Softail Custom FXSTC, a Honda CBR500R and recently picked up a Ninja ZX-12R. SO I kind of ride everything. I love life on 2 wheels and can't get enough.

Hi all, new member here, I currently race a ZX10R Gen4 (2012) and came across this forum while searching the web for parts.
Haven't rode on the roads since 2004 and to be fair don't really have any intention to.

Speak soon
