Default thinking about a 650.

So, I have been riding my 250 for almost 4 years, I am pretty confident and want something newer and better than what I have. I have been looking around alot for a 600cc bike, I found a 07 ninja 650 for about 3500 bucks. I am 5'4 120lbs and would love to flat foot the bike. I haven't looked at it yet or sat on the bike, does anybody have any input on this bike? I think this bike might be the right decision in going up in class.

I think you'll be happy with the bike. I'm not sure about flat footing it. I'm 6'2 so i never have a problem. The bike can be lowered if it is a big deal. Around town my 650 is way more fun than my gsxr 600 was. Great mpg's too. The only thing i don't like is the sound of a parallel twin and it has a fair amount of vibrations. But i love the bike. You should be comfortable on the bike at your height.

Honestly, you could find a better price but I hear the 650 is a great upgrade from the 250.

14k miles seems a bit high for 3500. i mean im sure you could talk them down, but it just seems a little high. theres a 07 650r with 5,500 miles going for 4000 near me. not that it makes it worth more, but it also has a custom paint job (couldnt tell you how good it is unless it was seen in person though)
here it is:

The seat height on the 650 is only 1" higher than the 250, but it's a hair wider too. I don't think you'll be able to flat foot it, but you shouldn't be too far off. I've had my 650 for about 4,000 miles so far and I love it!

awesome, i already found a lower seat but its about 350, and im thinking i might just wear riding boots also. I think it should be a great bike. But, I am waiting until Jan. So hopefully I find a 650 for a reasonable price.

I've seen 07's go for as low as $3000....last winter! So I'm sure you can find some better prices.

Don't dismiss a bike, that has a few more miles on it, when you find one for a reasonable price. Venom's brand new 650 is just over 2 months old and is already up to over 6k miles. They should hold up well.
I'd like to look at it like this: A bike with low miles...that is already 5 years old...might not have gotten proper maintenance all the time, because it was too infrequently on the road for the current owner to give a d@$% about it, if you know what I mean....

As for seat height: I'm 5'5", 32 inches inseam, and I can just barely flat-foot a new 650.
