UPDATE:

I ordered the GREEN "front" seat off the 2009 ZX6(six)R Monster Energy bike which looks like it will be a perfect fit for my 08 10R. I base that assumption on the 09 6R seat looking identical to the 10R seat. I saw a 09 6R BLUE and a Orange 09 10R side by side in a dealership and the seats look the same. Im sure its possible that the mounting tabs underneath are different but my guess is not as so many 10R parts are on the new 09 6r.

How long will it be on back order is anyones guess. I haven't seen any 2009 Monster Energy ZX6's even out yet so not sure what the time line is on spare parts. But you never know. The day I get it I will post up pix of it on my 10R.

Thats the "rear" Green seat.

I ordered the front GREEN seat this past Friday and picked it up today. I can't believe it was in stock in a Kawi warehouse and I got it that fast.

It is a perfect color match and perfect fit.

That would be the 2009 ZX6R Monster Energy GREEN front seat now mounted on my 2008 ZX10R. Needles to say, I LOVE it!!!

So now I have Green Front and Rear seats in place of the black ones on my 08 10R.

JimmyJam, any chance you could share with me what the seat cost ya? My buddy has a black 08 10R and wants to do the exact same thing.

I would be glad to share but I must first ask, "are you sitting down"?

I paid with taxes $178.81. OUCH!!! Talk about economic stimulus to my Kawi dealer.

But I got what I want so its worth it to me. I will eBay my black seat and get some money back for it one day.

The GREEN is just gourgeous. Going downstairs shortly to tinker some and will make some pix to post later tonight.

1 Pix for now, to cold in my basement to bother with it.

I bet this would look even nicer on a all black 08-09 ZX10R.

Thanks man, looks great! You gotta get rid of that stock rear fender though.
