It is a 2013 color for the 2009-2013 gen. Here is the evidence. Each URL below links to their respective color schemes for the year. 2013 comes in all green.

2013 ZX600R http://www.kawasaki-cp.khi.co.jp/mcy...13_zx600r.html
2012 ZX600R http://www.kawasaki-cp.khi.co.jp/mcy...12_zx600r.html

And now the NEW 2013 Ninja 636 via the link below. Note that it actually says ZX636EF in the URL instead, without the R anywhere to be found in the codename. Although it does carry the ZX-6R name elsewhere.

2013 ZX636EF http://www.kawasaki-cp.khi.co.jp/mcy...3_zx636ef.html

And here is Kawasaki's entire line-up for Japan and Asia for 2013. You can see both 2013 ZX636EF and 2013 ZX600R on their Ninja line-up.

I hope to be joking with all these facts, but unfortunately I am not that funny. Yes we are officially getting both ZX636EF and ZX600R for 2013.

Lol. Just because they put 2013 colors on it doesn't change the fact that its still a 09-12 model. Yeah, they may call it the 2013 model but it is still the same bike from 2009-2013. If it was truly a 2013 model, it would have all the updated specs as the 2013 636 minus the motor.

You must have a lot of time on your hands to sit here debating semantics on something this insignificant.

I see what they're saying. The 599 is a different bike from the 636.

Like, the "ZX636" is the 2013-? model and the "ZX600" is the 2009-2013(or whenever) model. They're two separate bikes/models.

The 2012 Ninja 250 is still the 2008 Ninja 250R model; regardless, it's still the 2012 model.

It may be a 2013 but it's essentially a 2009-2012 model. If it were a true 2013 model it would look exactly like the 636

If they continue manufacturing the zx6r in 2013 for racing purpose. Then yah I believe it should be a 2013 model. For example 09 to 12, nothing change in 4 years but still considered 09,10,11,and12 model. If you had an 12 model you wouldnt say 09 would you? And like someone already mentioned they are two different bikes zx6r & zx636.
