i believe that hose goes to the gas tank for catching any vapors or overfill from near the hole up top... there should be something on the bottom of the tank that it fits on...

the only other drain hose goes to the corner of the airbox... which now has me wondering if i should have my airbox drain hose plugged or not... would letting extra airbox pressure out the drainhose affect things THAT much??

i think i'm gonna have to take a look at how i have things done under there... anyone else have some insight as to which drain hose goes where??

that hose hooks up on the back side of the airbox. i didnt block it off but id be interested to hear from someone who blocked it off to see if there was any change from previous.

i cant say what size hoses i used because im at school right now and the bike is at home, but i just found some in my garage that made for a snug fit. worse comes to worst you can just bring the hoses with you wherever you go to find the right size to connect them

as far as i know my bike isn't jetted at all, i bought it used and the previous owner didnt make any mention of it. someone can correct me on this but my understanding that this is the way to jet these bikes because if you do it with a kit it is never optimum. this mod is the way to go. i have heard on the CA bikes you need a +4 ignition advancer on it if you do this, i believe supa ninja knows more about that

And who would believe that I am KEN, aka Kens float bowl mod?

I originally developed that and posted it on the ZX7 forum way back before it became the Redmonkey Forum, and before I died.

As for the dying part, I left for 3 months to go to Pakistan on a mountain climbing trip and when I returned some Joker had posted on ZX7 forum I had gotten killed, (gotta love the jokesters) memorials had been done (LMAO) so I just let it go.

It never occured to me I needed to infrom a discussion board I was taking time off (who would care) I thought.

Brian Kelleher (Greenman43) and I stay in regular contact.

I sold all my ZX7 stuff, all of it.

Here is my website, www.ticketkiller.net click on the ABOUT US link, there you will see. I use to put my name and city at the bottom of my ZX7 posts. Ken Waters Hiram, Georgia.

Enjoy your 7's. I kept one from new 1992-2007 (15 years).

JJ (aka Ken Waters)

+4 timing advancers works wonders with the mod as well.
i can vouch for that-the bike came alive with the advancer on it!!

has anyone put the float vent into the bottom of the airbox (where the clear line comes out of the bottom left corner) it feels like i got better response when i put it there (restriction of the air filter seems to help the mod..i think, just try it and see what you think-maybe im crazy, but i swear it helped mine)

anyone gotten a for sure answer on the reed valve crossover? im using a socket between the 2 tubes-i guess im going to plug each side and see how she runs

They are the fastest ones. Ask the Jesse, they decimate all.

Holy crap its ken waters. I remember reading about you "dying" on the red monkey sight and all the drama that came with it. I did the float bowl mod and its the shit.

I plugged the holes in the valve cover that went to the reed valve and its working fine. +4 advancer works very good with this mod.
