etttt runnnzzzzz
yes.. 2 hours of battling timing and funny connections and forgetfulness and all.. i finnal got to burn the beautiful black spray-bomb header paint off the pipes!! yay!!
the fuct part was that before i even got it fired up.. i thought i was going to have to scrap operation get the bitch running. i hooked up "the bottle" ( a motion pro aux fuel tank) to it, opened the valve, and went to go get some water to fill up the radiator and all.. when i came back not onlt had the fuel system filled up, but it was leaking bad from the pump itself.
now, being the tool that i am, i decided "fuck it.. i gots extinguishers" and proceeded to get the bike going.. after finding some things i actually had wrong and disconnected and all, i got spark going and decided to throw fuel to it again.. hoping i could get it to ither stop leaking or just catch it on fire.. well, evidently it kinda worked being that once the gas hit the seals, it filled the carb bowls and got the bike running, and pumped fuel for the 15 or so minutes i ran it.. it leaked again at odd intervals so i really hope i don't need a pump, but if i do, its of no surprise being it sat a year with nothing in it.
at least it's running now.
ima start making a thanks list now.. these guys contributed something in some way to me and i am eternally grateful to them and owe them something.. i don't know what yet tho.
Nizz- front fender and good sex
Skwerly-lights and a fairing stay (still gotta make that happen..lol)
a dude named shawn in WV- mirrors
bRiT636- the computer i'm using right now. (woulnt be possible without ya homey!!)
Dane (not part of KF)- 7-RR exhaust hanger and titanium brake lever
Tough-Guy- infinite wisdom
this list will grow i'm sure.. i'll credit everyone involved in this build whether they're a part of KF or not.. as long is i use their parts or knowledge.
also on a good note, i damn-near have my license back!! some of ya's may or may not know i was in a gnarly ass car crash a while back.. well, i got some cash out of it.. enough to fix my license at least.. so that ball is finally rolling.. whatever is left i'll use to insure and register the bike.. IF theres anything left after that, it'll go towards the bike in accessories or non- important parts.. (brackets n stuff basically)
unless i get hit by another dump truck.. then you'll see the nastiest fucking 7-R in your life. i can make 5K go VERY far on this bike...
so.. dats what da up to date is.

headphones dude...
i got the txt of it running, nice, very nice
finally got mine tuned "better" but its good enough i can live with it. no power under 5, then under 4, it was ok but i finally figured out it was waaay rich on the bottom end. so tune after tune after tune...and then a sync today...i set the float height at 19.5 and almost all sputtering went away, well untill you open it 1/2 throttle while under 3.5, otherwise it kinda vibrates, feels like the chain shaking, but i dont know. any ideas whitey?

Supra, I have some kinda same shit going on right now. I didnt really like to keep lowering the float so I called Factory. They are sending me some different needles to try out. If you are curious, I will let you know how they work.
My bike would load up if I rode on the highway for longer than 5 mins. from 4-4.5k and if I went WOT below 4.5k or so it would stumble and miss pretty bad.
BTW, Motionpro syncpro is the biggest POS. I kept getting numbdick and fingers from being out of sync. Got 4 Mac vacuum gauges...perfecto. No numbdick and barely numb fingers after 45 min ride.

i bought one of these and it worked great...just make sure you dont leave it in the a/c and use it in 100* temps, it builds up a lot of condensation in and around the tubes) http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Carb-...#ht_821wt_1141
if the needles are the way to go, let me know what size they are, maybe i could pick up a set at the local place, i hate waiting for packages
anyways, whitey, i almost had you a perfectly good international turbo...itd be pretty big, but if i had something v8, id strap the bitch under the truck. its a vgt and i think the actuator went bad, but it spooled up real nice when holding the rod for the vg actuator(variable geometry turbo, basically you control how much exhaust pressure you want to send into the turbo...so at low flow, the vanes close and the exhaust pressurizes and speeds up the shaft...then boost kicks in. just like the sprinkler hose, put your thumb over it and it does the same thing.)whitey, i know you know...just for the folks that didnt...) i woulda snagged it but the core tag was already on it and filled out. i just wanted to point out that you should really keep an eye out for the vgt's cause i think theyd be better for what you want it to do...plus you can just about turn the boost completely off with them, and ride the 200mph+ pig down the highway

Supra, here are some pics of the needles. They came with a bunch of 1/2 and full shims. Just what I wanted, another thing I can adjust 1000 ways and never be right. I think they will do the trick. They are a little fatter on the bottom to lean it out and it has 1/4in of adjustment to tweek it just right.

badass man, 2fat2fly pointed me in the right direction. i took both my shims out and stumbling is completely gone....but now its so lean that its running out of fuel on the bottom end, crack open the throttle and it pulls real nice. i decided im going to go with bigger jets and then tune on those, atleast now i understand what to tune and the correct process of doing it...its really not complicated, i got real close a few times but just kept walking in circles.
ill go to 17mm w/out shims and stock jets and see how she does. ill probly have to tune it for cold weather but thats not untill november around here. with a cold motor, i dont have a single complaint, im in love with my bike again...well for now atleast.
sorry for the jack whitey
