Need 96-03 ZX7R Parts
I wrecked, sure it was my fault, story before, but I need:
Complete Gear shifting section (mine broke off, can not find on flea-bay)
Need a new tail (Glass is rashed bad)
Little road rash on front fearing (Should be able to ABS and sand)
I have a hole under the frame slider, may be able to ABS repair, or need a Left fairing....
I have laid the bike down before when I first rebuilt the carbs, and I remember every second of it, I messed up underestimating the power difference and spun the rear tires out during a turn, completely my fault......
This time, I can't remember, and that scares the he!! out of me, and after looking at the bike, my helmet, and losing 3 hours of my life.... Question whether I want to ride anymore.... Just for coping and self healing, here is what I can remember....
In Viera, FL, Monday on a nice 4 lane road (With Median) that is curving to my right (Leaving 5-Guys heading to the traffic circle, almost across from tire kingdom if you know the area), I am in the outside lane, about to slowly pass the car on the inside lane. Only thing I can assume is I was in his blind spot (MY FAULT IF I WAS), there was no other reason, but the car started changing lanes with no blinker... I was doing only 45ish in a 40. As I tried to gently apply brakes, my turn radius started to change (bike wanted to come up naturally), I slowed myself down enough to avoid the car changing lanes and hitting me, but i am almost right on the curb (guess loose rocks, etc), so I made the choice to take the bike up into the median (only needed to make it 10ish feet before a turn lane opened)... Last thing I remember was front tire getting up and over the curve.....
Then I am speaking to a BSCO (Brevard County Sheriff Officer), and I am telling her how to get a hold of someone for me, and she replied, "Sir, that is the 5th time you told me that." Remember briefly talking to the Paramedic, woke up in the hospital with my GF and her son there, and I was being released, CatScan was fine. Helmet looked terrible, road rash on back, shoulders, knees, elbows (Had Jeans and long sleeve shirt on, Gloves did well, but would need replaced along with my helmet)... I have a complete back piece, I am sure I damaged my tattoos....
My neighbor got my bike home, she still runs. I lost 3 hours of my memory, I have visited the area, I can see where my front tire went up, but it appears the back tire didn't agree with that idea so it lowsided there. My jeans are covered in grass stains. The Glass Tail on the left side is gone (right where my hip hurts the most). I somehow got separated from my bike, the frame slider kept the bike from the most damage, but it Broke where the clutch handle attaches to the handlebars, and the gear-shifter is completely broken off (I CAN NOT FIND ONE ONLINE, SOMEONE SAVE ME). I ended up 50 feet from my bike based off of the broken parts I found off my helmet bluetooth.
I know I am lucky I did not end up in oncoming traffic. No ticket, just hurt pride, in good amount of pain, and my bike that was perfect, is now hurt.... I hope some of my brothers and sisters here have some extra parts lying around....
Text me at 904.707.35 70 if can help or have some parts you want to sell, want to just come buy the bike from me. Very happy the engine runs fine, and I laid it down on the left side, so full race exhaust is un damaged.........
Writing this is part of the healing process.... Already talked to Whitey, he doesn't have the parts.....
