I have a zx7r with a 96 zx9r engine. I plan on building a turbo on it. At the moment i have a TD05 turbo and a smaller TD02 Turbo. But last night a friend of mine dropped of a brand new Garret turbo that I am sure is more suitable for my bike.
I have bought blow off valve, electric boost controller, adjustable ignition timer, have made a 1,5 mm spacer to lower the compression, extra fuel pump and fuel pressure regulator. I have a friend who will make the bends and the pressure box for me.
My problem is that I am missing a intercooler.. Where did you get yours? I also checked in to water injection witch seems to be just as good...
I will not go for more power then around 180 hp on low pressure and around 220 hp on high pressure... I guess I will need to buy new pistons as well..
There is a turbo zx7r here in noway that made 250 bhp on high pressure (1 bar) with standard pistons built by Mc express in Sweeden:-) http://www.mc-xpress.com/
Thanks..

Thanks for the good comments,
250 bhp in ZX7 it's amazing. The ZX7 have ZX7 motor or ZX9 motor like you ? I know the company Mc-xpress, but i never see this bike in the Mc-xpress sight.
My intercooler is a custom build. For your project, you can run with only water/methanol if you want. Lower the compression is the best way for boost application. Where do you get the turbo manifold ? Because the turbo manifold is the hard part to build.

Hey, thank you for answering!! I`ll build the manifold my self with the help of a friend who is a excellent welder:-) The 7n with 250 hp is built with a 7n motor. But it was built back in 1999 so not much stuff to find online on it...

Do you have any pics of the bike why you were putting it all together? i would love to see all that wiring under the front fairing.
One more ? what forged are you talking about because i when with titanium and they are the shits. didnt know since some people refer to titanium when they say forged. (i know they are not the same) and on your pistons did you go for dome or dish in.

You can see a few pics of my bike on streetfire.net Click on the link
http://videos.streetfire.net/album/Z...00_1022013.htm
If you want see more, tell me what you want to see. I have a ton of pics.
I have two motors. One with stock pistons with ceramic coating and spacer with adjustable cams sprockets and redegree. Second motor with J.E. forged turbo pistons, spacer, adjustable cams sprockets, redegree cams, porting head and recut valves. The turbo pistons have dish. Because the dish lower the compression and dome up the compression. You can see the difference between stock and turbo pistons, i have a pic in my album on streetfire.net.

ya.. should be interesting to slap busas and 14's around on an old and intially underpowered bike
it'll be street/strip/show/LSR when i'm done.. thats gonna be a hell of a combo, huh? LOL
i just want a 750 to break 200.. again. especially after reading the thread in the 7-R section on it. i want to make a little history in a few ways AND drive it and show it off..
i was thinking of doing twin TDO2's, thus my asking on the turbo!! twins will spool nicely.. especially that TINY ass little turbo.
isn't the inlet the size or a quarter!?
