wtb supposedly 2002 zx9 16000 km

I would like to buy this motorcycle. It is said to be an 2002. From the color scheme (correct me if I am wrong) this color scheme is specific to 2003 year.
The oil pan is cracked and welded(oil isn't dripping), and the owner said that on the phone before I even came to see the bike. But I won't go as far as saying that if the bike had anything else wrong he would have said it.
I have seen this bike before and ridden it. It was as clean and well kept as you can see it in the pictures. It rides well it has a very very light rattle noise under acceleration that might be the the actual engine running noise that I am confusing for a malfunction.
The bike now has the price dropped a bit and I would like to give it one more try. It felt too god to be true. I am thinking of going there and getting the fairings down and check for frame cracks, engine block cracks or other bad things. Any specific things/places I should especially look for damage?
Until I do that, do you see anything fishy in the pictures? The exhaust is a home-made one.
