Ooooo....which cowl did you get? I'm currently shopping around for one...thinking of the Pyramid cowl, hella pricey though!

The eBay one from England... Same as BarraSpaulding (If I spelled your name wrong, sorry). I don't really like the Pyramid ones... hate that triangle pad jammie, and the price sucks. It is sad that they are actually cheaper to order from england, until you see the shipping rate.
http://www.pyramid-plastics.co.uk/ca...roducts_id=735
Translates to about - $207 + $102.14 shipping! = $309.14
or.... $295 + whatever from rev's... in the US! What's wrong with this picture?
My seat cowl was 55 pounds shipped (*$81.70) unpainted though....
*** Currency exchange rates estimates (but prob close, lol)

Took a couple phone pics of the test fit. Couple things "could be better" but overall i am happy with it. As far as changes, thinking of making some kind of bushing for the actual bike mounts to keep the tabs "put". The cowl mounts need a little tweaking as it doesn't really sit centered but it's fixable, but it does however fit SNUG, no TIGHT. I think it will look alot better to both of us once they are painted, as now you have two different colors you are looking at which really shows EVERY LITTLE THING, lol. The front of mine doesn't really follow the pillion seat um... base? And the rear has a sliiiight lip from the cowl to the tail, hardly noticable. Other than a few minor things here and there (again, have too see how it is painted) I am really happy with it. They are hand made, and pretty good for being so. As Ramrodthrusterpuppy said, "$82 is a lot better than $300+++!" Although $82 + paint brought it up around $140.
I ordered paint last night (Color Rite, aerosol cans), primer, paint, and clear.
I'll either post the cell pics when I get back home, or take better if I decide to rip the bike apart today to install new toys, and post them when I get back home.

Canadian Catfish!
Y'know....that cowl looks pretty good in those pix....better than what I was expecting. And I think it is very workable to make it fit better. I'd add grommets to the latches so that they catch more securely. I'd also add a thin rubber seal around the base of the cowl so it won't rub through the finish and also won't rattle.
I think I'll pull the trigger on one of these....thanks guys!
