Mine will fire right up, No gas, But after it gets warm after Iv ridin it, I have to give it just a little gas. If its a little cool out side, just a little gas, if its really cool out, A little choke. no gas until it will run without the choke. & that's not an exact science, It can vary from time to time. But that's what generally works for me.

Hang on, if the starter motor's not turning then this is nothing to do with the choke. The only thing near the throttle that would cause this would be the kill switch, but i can't see how it's linked. Therefore, I think your bike's cursed.

I put the choke on full...start the bike and wait till it starts revving way over 1500 RPM (my set idle speed) then I take it down to about 1/3 choke which keeps it at 2000 RPM. Then once it's at operating temp I’m gone!
This whole process takes about 4-7 min. depending on the outside temp! Not sure why others have trouble with this...?
My theory about bikes is the same with women…if you love it’ll love you back. I take care of her and she never gives you any problems!!!!

Sorry for the wrong terms, (crank) It wil turn, and turn and turn, but not fire up.
I started my bike today with no problems, pulled the choke to about halfway and it fired right up. Waited a minute or two and sure enough rpm's increased. Pushed the choke back off and it went right to idle. Waited to see an oil temp and was off!
Patience was my problem. Works like it should.

So this morning I went to start my bike just as I did the day before
but this time when I pushed to start it... it backfired first crank.
Is that normal? How can I prevent it?

Sounds like you got a fuel problem, barring any exhaust problems.
Lean usually means backfires except that it usually occurs while the engine is running, not the next day. UNLESS the timing is to far advanced, resulting in the valve not being completely closed during combustion.
A bike with only 2K miles on it shouldn't have this problem. I would pop the carbs and see if some schmojack didn't eff with the carbs to get "more power".
I've seen crap like that before where some douche bag didn't know what the hell he was doing and fubar'ed the adjustments of a carb (on single cylinders) in an attempt to "tune" the bike.

Mine has backfired from time to time, From what Iv read on the forum its fairly common, I don't really know why. I do know that my bike runs great & there is nothing wrong with it. Nobody has f....d with it, My valves are adjusted every 8,000 miles, carbs synch every 5,000, new plugs at 5,000-8,000 miles, & I clean the filters every 5,000 miles. The end of my exhaust is a nice gold color.

no, nobody has touched my carb. 2k miles were put on by me in the past two months. Did the first service at 600 miles as recommended in the MOM got tall the stuff needed for the second and bike runs GREAT. Only having starting troubles. Nothing big. I can get her started everyday no matter what but just is not as smooth as I would expect from a brand new bike.

Hmm ... still sounds like something is wrong. Try running a different brand of gas in next time. I assume you're using 91+ ?
