Thanks. Still waiting in that adaptor from Danmoto. I've been just relying on the front brakes which isn't a big deal.

Been a while.

Ok Danmoto came through with my bracket, so now my rear brake lever is useable (got that several weeks ago).

Next up is plugging the reed valves (block off plates down the road) and install a Factory Pro jet kit. I scored this kit off of eBay used for $16. It came off of a 98, so I'll see if it works. Hell for $16 I'll take the hit if the jets aren't right. If anything I can at least use the adjustable needles this kit comes with. The guy said he was installing a FP ti kit when he discovered there was already a jet kit installed, so I'm not 100% sure what I'll get. It was $16 shipped, no bids, and the auction was about to end so I went for it. We'll see. According to the pics I see 8 main jets, 4 pilot, four needles with clips, and four slide springs. Looks like there are some washers/shims too.

according to factory pros website the jetkits for the J model 6r and zzr are different than the kit for the G model 6r

That's what I've read/heard, but I'll see exactly what the difference is. Worst case I'll sell it to a G model owner and buy a new kit for my bike.

From what I remember the G model has slightly different cams which would account for the difference in the kits

Yes, different cams and different carbs. Carbs are interchangeable between the years, but they are different. I'm wondering if the jets even thread into my carbs or not. We'll see.

I think they're decent for what they are, especially for the price tag. I would rather have longer pegs; it feels like my feet want to slip off the ends sometimes. The pegs don't grip much either. If you order them, tell them to send the rear brake master cylinder adaptor. You can see from the pics that the lever dips down too far to be used otherwise. May be a different story if you set them up higher and back farther though. I have mine set for comfort right now, but I'll adjust them for track days next year. I will say they are sturdy and feel quality otherwise. The heel guards don't do much, especially the right side one. My heel still touches my braced swing arm (won't be a problem for those with the stock swing arm though). The heel guards are real carbon fiber though, so that's nice.

Hey Larry, can you post a pic of that adapter plate on your rearsets please? I just installed mine and that brake lever issue isn't going to work out so well.

Thanks,

Blake

Oh crap, I thought I posted a pic of it already. Apparently not. And it looks like I deleted it from my phone, too. Dammit. I'll get a pic up soon for ya. It's not a plate, it's a piece they screws onto the bottom of your rear master cylinder. If you look at it you can see how it attaches to the back of the lever. Well the piece I got is a longer piece that effectively pushes the back of the lever down and raising the front. I'll get a pic. Worth a thousand words.
