Really suprised I didn't find much info on this, i think i came across it in a post on a dune buggy website yesterday where people use sportbike engines and what not in their projects. The resistor is inside the ignition switch and if it goes out you can pick one up at radio shack for a dollar and solder it inline on the wire connecting to your ignitor box.
Finally got it running last night after double checking my new resistor install and the wiring to the non stock start button box the previous owner had installed.
Another post i found here with pictures in case people are having spark issues in the future, one more thing to test out....
