Just put STP fuel injector cleaner in my bike

....Well i low sided in march and just got done rebuilding it a few weeks ago. Since the wreck, it has been running pretty weak in the low end and just doesn't seem right. I havn't gotten a chance to change my plugs yet but that will be the next step. It was sitting all summer and I am thinking that the gas may of gotten goowie and clogged the injectors?

You can buy the Techron (made by Chevron) additive concentrate at just about any auto parts store. From what I've read it really does work and I usually dump a bottle into my car a couple times a year to keep it clean.

yeah i'm working on my mechanic skills. I am pretty sure I can figure out the plugs and cleaning the air filter but as far as adjusting the valves and all the technical stuff.........how much does the dealer charge for that?? And I put half the bottle of the FI cleaner in my tank.....probably too much but I figure i'de get that extra cleansing power

If you suspect the injectors of being dirty/clogged, the best thing to do is take them out, GENTLY remove the seals and put them through a varsol bath.

your also better off geting a manual since it pays for itself. The dealer will charge a fortune to do all that simple stuff
