Possibly might have sat the tank on the positive terminal

In my foolish haste while putting everything back together I may have touched the tank to the positive terminal. There was a spark and smoke :surprise:!

I corrected as quick as I could but when I went to start the bike the fuel light (not out I can hear gas swooshing) would flash and it wouldn't catch. By catch I mean it tried to turn over but then just went dead. Now after that (which is started fine before hand) I disconnected the negative to like reset it. It fired right up! Good to go you would think so I buttoned her all back up. Now after being buttoned up she wont start! I cant seem to find any too badly burnt wires but there is some shotty wiring stuff going on (from previous owner) and I cant make heads or tails of it.

Below are the best pics I can take. The blue right that is most prevalent came off the connector that is burnt. It didn't seem to be attached and I don't know if it should be or not.

The blue wire I think is going to ground. This also lends me to think that this has been replaced once before since it isnt black and all the pics I find around the web it should be black. I will keep you guys posted as I think Im the only one who has had this issue. This will be for those that cant or dont want to replace the whole wiring harness as cheap as those are.
