Timing chain tension??

Just did valves on my 2005 zx6r motor and am wondering if there is a certain tightness the chain is supposed to be?

BTW one of the previous owners put a manual chain tensioner

Tight enough that it is not flopping around, but not tight tight. If your bike comes with a self adjusting tensioner I would replace it with that.

Ok, thats how i have it set currently, i'll look into getting a self adjusting one once i get this motor running trying to spend as little as possible till it runs
