Yeah i always use it on downshift, speaking of trans, are the 09-12 trans weak ?, it feel 10 time more solid than my 06 636 which i found clunkier, is a QS hard on the trans or its actually better?

I've been HM Quickshifter over a year now... It's the best one I have used by far.

Hardly used for downshifts.

I wouldn't say its weak, but its finikey, if you miss a couple shifts you can chip the shift dogs pretty easily, the 07/08 trans is more stout & you can see it physically. i currently have a 07/08 trans in my bike.

I am disapointed to hear that man , that is the reason why the 636 is for sale , for fear of broke it , i will pay attention on the 2011 , only missed one time seriously that i can remember, is the 07-08 a bolt-on process or custom fit?

I wouldn't worry too much about it, they take a beating. The 07/08 is a direct bolt on.

I downshifted mine at redline once when I switched from GP shift. I didnt die and the transmission didn't explode.

Ok guys i just installed the QS today and iam ready to start/set the bike, what is the correct way to ajust the thing , bike is in the house on stand , can i do some test supposing i don't mind the smell and i have 2 friend to hold the bike and stand solid haha .

For the shift light connector, we can't find any place to plug it , its the first connector next to the bazzaz box.Do i need to run a wire from the shiftlight

we cut the rod to the correct lentht, i called bazzaz and they say it was not a good idea and i should order the correct lenght but anyway i was like wtf why not cut it ...

if i play with the shifter , i can almost shift without activate the push mecanisme, iam scared of damage the tranny on the setting so i want to do it correctly

thanks!

Will any quick shifter work with a power commander, or does it have to be a PC QS?

why won't a stand alone annitori work? their strain-gauge is the best. end of story.
