Had to change starter clutch and I got almost back together. I slipped the clutch back on and used impact for big nut but don't know how much torque to put on the five bolts with the springs.
I'm sure someone will chime in with an exact number, but as a general rule of thumb, it's usually "snug plus 1/4 turn". Just make sure they're tight enough they won't loosen themselves up.
Really I tighten the 5 or 6 bolts that have a spring on them between the clutch and head of bolt to snug then 1/4 turn?... What's the point of the springs then I'm confused. So I should tighten bolt down on springs snuggly then 1/4 turn to where spring is completely compressed. I figured they had to be some spring left for the clutch. Or do you mean snug as in, as soon as bolt starts to make a slight snug contact with the spring then 1/4 turn.
