HID preferences?

Wondering what you guys go with, I have had 8,000k and 10,000k in my car, didnt like the 10 as much as the 8, but i was wondering if its better to go with different temps for the beams. any input appreciated. Im thinkin a 6L 8H right now

I have a 5k 55w kit in my bike, all my friends seem to prefer ridiculous colors like 12k.

Im not big on the higher temps just cause they dont light up as well, altho they do look cool, the point is to see the road. 10,000k in rain suck ass

Exactly why I went with 5k, best light output. Luckily its exactly the color I wanted, bright white, with the tiniest hint of blue. I've heard some people say below 6k might look yellowish, but my lights definitely have NO yellow at all.

The combination is probably more preference but a 6k bulb has more light output than an 8k so you might want to use 8k for a low beam and 6k for a high beam to get the best lighting effeciency.

the 8k low will give you the bluer tint for riding around town and your 6k high will have more light output to let you see farther on the backroads when it counts.
This is the 6000k HID kit from F-Sane. Just installed yesterday, plug and play easy installation, and complete How-to on his website for installation help!

How much does that kit run? I have been buying my hid kits (3 now) from a guy on ebay for $38 shipped to your door. So far they have all held up nd 2 kits are close to a year old now. Not sure if they have the "slim" balast, there near an inch thick, not sure what they call slim, but I've been satisfied with them so far.

wow $38 is very cheap. F-Sane kits are $145 but you can get a 15% discount for being a member here. my ballasts are probably about 1/2" thick and I mounted them with industrial velcro to the frame right under the black dash panels. Thats cool if those ebay kits work well, not sure how much is involved with installation but I know the F-Sane kit is fool proof when it comes to wiring everything up. I can get you some pics of the bulbs and ballasts later today and post up tonight.

i have a ballast from Fsane as a replacement for the pricey $600 mercedes benz junk i'm running and have yet to find ANYTHING to complain about with that thing. it's fucking tiny, and very well made. as an engineer i notice little shit.. like the mounting holes.. they're tapped for fine thread.. nice touch.

not sure wtf color my shit is.. whatever an SL500 runs. lol

fucking love it tho.
