Why don't you just buy the stuff you need and sell it for more? If my '07 Sells I may put a bid in... but I'd hate to see the cost of a tank, and ecu... gahhh

You'll be into this rebuild $2500+ all day long with used parts off ebay... depending on the reserve, it may be worth it.

I would do it, but I'm having surgery on both knees and then the Army is sending me to Germany at the end of July...I just don't have the time...it really is a shame because it is an easy fix and the damn thing is so damn pretty....even missing fairings lol

$2500 will not be enough. it may be enough for just used fairings. then, you'll need ecu, tank, etc... not worth to restore.

getting it track ready may be cheaper with aftermarket fairings.

You can pick up ebay special fairings all day long at $500 for it, used tank runs $900, used ECU $500, seats couple hundred... I think a realistic estimation would be $3500.... and thats for used stuff.... brand new... ouch..

Why didn't you run full coverage insurance and turn a qoute in? Or did you and just took the total/check and threw it against what you owed on the bike?
