Ok, when you go to kick start the bike you may attimes get one stroke and then it freezes, locks up solid. When this happens you can rotate the engine by hand either by the crank nut or clutch basket (because spark plug is out). The engine IS NOT LOCKED UP. There is also nothing wrong with the kick starter assy. There MAY be something wrong between the kickstart assy. and the crank.
I have read on other threads that a rod or crank bearing that is bad can cause it to get stuck in same place every time.
Any thoughts what it could be?
TO answer my own question, I have found the issue. The primary gear nut had backed off allowing the primary gear to interfere with other things. $6.00 for a new nut and a dab of locktite and I should be A-ok!
