The fact you have no riding experience probably makes this a less than stellar option for a first bike, it's a racing motorcycle so it has some juice that will likely catch you by surprise or scare you from riding it. Comfort is something you should take into consideration but you also have to be comfortable with the bike when it's "alive", as in you are riding it. Especially considering the type of riding you'll be doing, the KX line is for racing and it being a racing 2-smoker you'll need to pay attention to service intervals and do the occasional top-end rebuild. Probably not best suited for riding on the road or trail riding, it will do those things but it'd do better in other settings. Plus they cost more than a KLX, and I'd guess also cost more for servicing. You're better off with a KLX as a first bike, they aren't very slow but they are good first bikes, nearly bulletproof.
