2012 er6n will only start & run for 2sec

I have a 2012 er6n its maintained very well. 20,000 miles all factory except for slip on. Riding for 10 min or so it dies oil light comes on and now fl light on when I try to start. It will run for 2sec and die I can rev it for those 2sec but still dies. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated

^ agreed, the FI light is indicative your bike is trying to tell you something. No service manual to guide you step by step? Most bikes are able to assist in service mode....revealing the fault.

It'll likely be fuel pump, pump relay, fuel filter, related wiring.... I'm not familiar with the model...is the pump external or internal to fuel tank? Testing for pump output would be first step, I think. Disconnecting the output hose and having it shoot into a separate container when key turned to on position, it'll work or not..if flow stops after a few seconds, bingo.
Do a visual check on the filter..... service manual may have a precise electrical test for the relay.

Those are just general steps on an FI bike....gotta consult a manual for specifics on your ER6N though. After all is corrected, you'll likely have to reset the maintenance FI light too.

Good luck.
